Carving Pumpkins

We decided to carve pumpkins today, this is Bill's Monday and we won't actually all be in one place at the same time until Friday, Halloween, so it was our last chance. We all had fun and our pumpkins look great, or atleast I think so. I couldn't resist video taping Brianna, she was smelling and smelling and looking and looking at the pumpkin, it was really cute.

We combined the family tradition of the pumpkin patch and celebrating Bill's birthday this year. Bill is such a good sport about his birthday, and enjoys our annual pumpkin patch trip. Brandon, Bubba ( Darrick ) and Brianna had a blast this year. Carissa and Cody each brought their boyfriend/girlfriend and I felt a little bad for Ashley cause Molly was at her dads for the weekend and with sis and Cody having friends it left Ashley out a little :( She did fine and was okay with hanging out with them, but I didn't even think about it and felt bad. Dad and Lynn joined us this year and it was a blast. We rented a "reserved" fire pit and area, that was nice too. All in all it was a great day and I think everyone enjoyed getting to see one another. Next year maybe we can do it on a weekend that Molly and Michael will be able to join us....and Great Grandma and Grandpa Bud too!

Ahhh, Homecoming this year is very, VERY different than last year. Carissa has a boyfriend, Joe and they are so stinking cute together and get along so great. She is so very happy. Carolina, CJ, Griffin, and Sheylynn came down and Carolina fixed Carissa's hair and make up and then they stayed to take pics of the happy couple. Joe's parents and little sister came over with him and stuck around to visit a little while and get pictures as well. We fixed dinner her and they ate by the candle light, sipped apple cider, and didn't even get Spagetti all over themselves! Carissa is so happy, and is enjoying life to the fullest...it's so nice to see her so confident, independent, but loving to share special moments with someone special! Earlier in the day I did her french manicure toes and fingernails and we even added some crystal "flowers" to her thunb nails. It was fun to help her, and a lot better than her spending all day at the salon!
