Baby Blanket and Blanket Buddy
I made this afghan and bunny blanket buddy for Lynn's great niece that was just born. I'll post better pics of the afghan later, but I have to say, I went with my gut and put more details on the blanket buddy - and modified the pattern a lot...anyway I love it with my touches....much, much better in my eyes :)

Nice Weather FINALLY!
Our 2009 garden - extended and improved :)
The little ones in the garden where they aren't suppose to be unless they are harvesting, and ya it's a little early for that :)

It is already Memorial Day weekend, WOW! Where has this nearly 1/2 of a year gone? I can honestly say I am more than happy to have had the weather FINALLY turn around this weekend! The little ones and I are pretty much on our own this weekend, as Bill is working the last few days of his 9 days in a row, which include shifts that don't get over til after 3:00 AM in the morning and start at 3:00 in the afternoon, so he's beat. We got the flower beds weeded, the garden weeded, the hoses set up where they should be for easy access and played and played and played. I mowed the front lawn for Bill, as the back was still too wet to mow, he finished it this morning as the little ones and I weeded the garden some more. I don't remember this many weeds last year, but then the weather was nicer and I fiddled around out there each night. Lately it's been soooo cool when I get home, and with t-ball and stuff I haven't really gotten out there.
We got the little ones their bathing suits this weekend, and they are enjoying playing in the water. Carissa went camping/fishing with her friend Amanda again this Memorial Day Weekend and Cody is camping, riding quads with his friend Bret....it's been pretty quiet around here, as we are mostly just hanging out and getting stuff done...it's been nice though!
Well that's my update! :) Hope you all have a wonderful summer and there will be LOTS LOTS more post!

Medium Bunny Blanket Pal
So I know you can't see how wonderfully purple this medium size blanket pal is...but I really like her :) I took the inspiration from the previous small blanket pal, modified the patter, ALOT, and waaaaala this is what I got.
Little Bunny Blanket Buddy
Got this pattern from Ravelry.com, cute and easy to make, would be a great shower gift or even a gift for a 2 or 3 yr old :) I am really enjoying all this crocheting, really relaxes me, and that's a good thing!
Brandon's T-Ball Season Ends
Brandon had his team award dinner tonight. One of the team members mom's took pictures through out the season which the coach handed out to the parents along with a metal and a certificate of achievement. It was a good event and you can see Brandon was embarrassed and suprised when they called his name, check out him running from getting his stuff in the top picture. :)

My Latest Crochet Creations
Added additional border/ruffles to Norma's bedspread
Baby "Little Star" afghan made from a pattern received from ravelry.com
I decided to modify the pattern a little and added tassles to the pointed parts of the star :) LOVE IT!
Another wonderful pattern from Ravelry.com BEAUTIFUL and HANDY tawashi...it is a deep purple though you can't really see that from this picture :(
I am officially re-addicted to crocheting.....I am liking making anything from Kitchen towels/dish clothes to afghan's to bedspreads, to little children's clothes. Anyay I am having a blast and am getting ready to open a store on Etsy.com......so that'll be fun to see if anyone wants my stuff :)

My 34th Birthday BBQ
Bill invited my family down to celebrate my 34th Birthday with a wonderful BBQ (Thanks Dad & Lynn for the yummy steaks!) I got lots of NICE gifts and more importantly had a wonderful few hours with my family....I really enjoyed myself. I wish Grandma Faye was feeling better and that Tanya and the kids could have been here, along with all my other family/inlaws.
All in all I think it was a successful BBQ! I wouldn't trade the little moments of chaos or confusion with everyone over for anything in this entire world....my family truly means the world to me!
Now, as far as the "being 34 tomorrow" actually in 15 minutes, I'm not too sure how I feel about that....34 isn't too awfully old after all is it? Maybe next year 35 will hit me harder, but for now I am, well I'm good! I am a little old to have a 2 and 4 yr old...or maybe If I look at this differently, it is that I am YOUNG to have a 14 & 16 year old! That sounds better to me :)

Brandon's T-ball Game
Brandon really played well on Tuesday, he hussled and fielded a few balls, hit both times the first time, yes he used a pink bat, but hey it was good luck :) Dad, Lynn, and Molly came down to watch the game and it was really good to see them. I haven't seen Lynn and Molly for a really long time.

Mothers Day Weekend - 35th Annual Walla Walla Balloon Fest.
Pics of my kids and me, ready to go to the balloon fest!
At the balloon fest waiting for the night glow.
Launched balloons, night glow balloons, and fireworks, what could be better?
We decided to take the Saturday before mother's day and do a "pre-mother's day trip" to the 35th Annual Walla Walla Balloon Festival. It was a blast, the kids loved looking at all the arts and crafts, eating the fair food, and riding the big slide and jumping in the jump house.....the balloon night glow was beautiful and the fireworks wonderful....it couldn't have been a nicer evening and day!

4/5 Year Old Soccer.
We got Brandon signed up for summer soccer and BONUS I get to be the head coach! I am soooo looking forwarding to coaching his team and having soccer fun with him! I bought my sister in laws camera, she got a new one, and it is a professional digital camera, so I should have lots and lots of pictures! :)
Happy Mother's DAY to all the mother's out there!

My Recent Crochet Creations
Norma's beadspread.....she picked the colors and design :) It's exactly as she wanted it to be....or so that's what she told me ;) Although we are contemplating adding more ruffles so it covers her bed more liberally as she plans to use it as her beadspread.
Brianna's pink toddler size throw...it's about the size of a lap ghan for adults.
I was originally making this for the living room, Norma's leather chair, however Brandon was quick to claim it :) as he does with everything I make, including Brianna's lilac purse and sweater.
