Bad Day, or not???
So I have not had the best morning....Cody doesn't want to commit on a day/time to come for a birthday party, says I kicked him out so I lost the privilage of having him on his birthday, hung up on me, etc. I decided I was going to have a better afternoon, but just can't quite get out of this funk.....not feeling real great either, and that does not help.
ANYWAY where the pictures come in is Bill says, hey honey, you should see your daughter. Brianna is famous for climbing on top of the warm clothes just out of the dryer and playing and playing and playing. Well she is catching a little cold, probubly allergy related and got up extra early this morning. I guess the above pictures are of what happens to a little girl when she is awfully tired, refuses to take a nap cause she doesn't want to miss anything, is catching a cold, and snuggling up on a stack of warm toasty clothes from the dryer :)
Precious Moments remind me of why it's so important to "start my day over" after those bad fragments of time occur....it's never too late in the day to start the day over :)

Purses and Purses Gallore....crocheted by ME!
So I have a new passion for crocheting purses, made of 100% wool and then felted. It is so much fun and I LOVE the look. I am making them and selling them on Ebay & Etsy....interesting adventure, too bad I couldn't crochet full-time and make enough income from my items to retire and be a stay at home mom :)
Our family has been busy, busy, busy lately, I need to get on here and update our blog, but between not feeling well, having the shakes, Brandon not feeling good last Thursday/Friday ( food poisoning I think), Bill having bronchitis and feeling crummy, birthdays, getting kids ready for school, working, and playing....well I have been busy to say the least!
Norma got an apartment the beginning of August, Andrew moved in and is working at Sahara Pizza, looking for an additional job, saving money to pay off his bills and then get a place of his own.
Bill is on the 4th to last class until he gets his bachelors degree, he can't wait to be finished!
Carissa is a little depressed as Jordan went to Korea the 10th of August for his 1 year tour. She applied for a job at Dairy Queen and has been hanging out with friends and attempting to get back on a school schedule. Registration was today, school starts next Tuesday, so she will no longer be "trying" to get on the schedule.
Cody is with his dad. School at East Valley doesn't start until the 8th of September so he still has a few weeks, he is happy about that. He will be 15 the 5th of September and the #1 thing he is asking for is a car, MAN they start early now a days.
Brandon starts his new pre-school in September, he is not looking forward to having a new teacher and new friends, but is excited he will be riding the bus to a closer school.
Brianna is the boss per usual. She also starts a pre-school program this year for speech only and will go once a week.
They are all growing up so fast! Life goes fast!
I have made a promise to myself to make everyones christmas gifts this year, so extended family who wish to have items that match their home decor email me your colors of your kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, etc.... :) (cfhoke@gmail.com)
Love to all and heres to a happy and safe fall!!!!!

Brandon & Bri crashed....
So the kiddos have been full of energy all weekend. Non-stop activity, I haven't felt very well, and it is Bill's weekend to complete his finals for his class before the due date tomorrow. Uncle Andy went out on the trampoline with them after dark at about 8:30 in hopes to burn off some of their energy. They came in, got cleaned up, had something to drink, a scoop of frozen yogurt, and I was in my room getting ready for bed, walked back out and this is what I found.....I'd say they are tired. :)

Red Alligators
Only half the team showed up, and Brandon did not want individual pictures, but non-the-less her are our 2009 Red Alligators Soccer Team pictures. Our last game was tonight. Brandon loves to play, kick off, and run around and have fun.

The kids, and men at Howard Amon Park
After the birthday parties, the ladies stayed for a pure romance party....the men and children took the kids to Howard Amon Park and had a ball playing, swinging, and just hanging out. I can't really write too much about this, as I was at home at the party....maybe Bill will add more later :)
Papa Hoke and the Grandkids
Papa Hoke went to the park on Saturday after the birthday party with the kids...he played with the kids and had a ball. Bill took the opportunity to get a picture of him with his grandkids.....this is a rare opportunity, everyone together is rare, as we live so far away from one another.
Carissa 17, Brianna 3 - Birthday Party
We had the girls' birthday party together this year. Carissa's big gift from us was her mini lap-top and Brianna's was her Barbie quad. They seemed to have a good time. Carissa got her chocolate, chocolate, chocolate cake and Bri got a younger decorated vanilla cake.
Brianna - 3 Years Old
Brianna was in a very serious mood on Saturday, the day these pictures were taken and the day we had her party. Quiet and very serious, she had a ball and enjoyed her gifts, but was pretty serious.....more than usual. I opted to take some pictures with my camera rather than go to the studio because we had such a BUSY, BUSY weekend....I may still go and get some pics.... I'm not sure....

Late Friday, early Saturday with Cousins
Steve, Amy, the boys, and Great Grammy got to the house about 12:00 midnight on Friday night. The kids were in bed laying down, but not for long. The little cousins play so great together and were anxious to see one another and play, so we let them play til about 1:30 AM or so....a treat for them, yes but they were just soooo excited to see one another, it couldn't be helped.
Thursday 8-06-09
Thursday after the soccer game Darrick Jr. came home with us and the three kids, Darrick Jr., Brandon, and Brianna played all evening while I worked in my flower beds, it was a great evening!
A good day for soccer, FINALLY!
The weather finally cooperated last Thursday and we had a great time at the soccer game. Brandon played hard, as did the rest of the boys on the team...the girls are still a little pre-occupied with playing with one another. This was suppose to be our last game, but since we have had so many cancelled due to the heat, we have one more on Thursday.
