At the Beach - Day 2

After the light house we had a quick lunch and headed down to the beach before the girls reservation to go horseback riding. We drove down so Grandpa could join us and met up with the boys....I think it was one of the 2 times that everyone was in one place at the same time, but then I guess that is to be expected when you have 15 people on one trip. Brianna was content with digging in the sand and playing with the sand toys...Brandon flew his kite a while, jumped waves and then played in the same some too. Grandpa watched everyone play in the water and enjoyed talking to Brianna. Cody and Steve were trying to master their boomerang while flying their kites...all at the same time. Uncle Dennis bought Darrick Jr a "navy airplane" kite and they were having a ball flying it! Eddie was enjoying helping Brianna dig in the sand and Mom, Grandma and Carol walked along the waters edge. Carissa, Becky, and Ashley did a little of both the waters edge and playing in the sand.

Carissa sarcasticly asked me if I would go on their horseback ride with them later in the day and to her suprise I told her to call, make sure I was under the weight limit ( hee hee ) and see if they had a spot and I would go...the girls were amazed...of course I made sure with Bill that he didn't mind holding down the fort while I was gone for an hour and as usual he was fine with it. Brandon, Brianna, and Papa too needed a nap as well as Eddy and Bill and I wanted to get some laundry done so Bill ran to the laundry mat and Grandma put the kids to sleep. Hopefully she got some rest too.

As you can tell from the pictures the day turned out to be beautiful - the overcast skies were now mostly sunny and it had warmed up to about 70 or so, absolutely wonderful for the Washington Coast!
