The second day of our trip was upon us and Brianna and Brandon were ready to go fairly early. The girls wanted to go for a horse ride and made reservations for 3:45 that afternoon. We decided it would be fun to go up to the lighthouse and let Brianna and Brandon see a real life lighthouse for their first time. They watch Go Diego Go and Dora the Explorer and have heard of Light Houses,

but never got to see one. Cody and Steven chose not to go - they wanted to do something exciting, not boring like seeing a light house, so they did their own thing. There were beautiful views and the light house was very charming. You had to be 7 years old and not have flip flops on in order to take the tour and actual go up to the top of the light house, which most of us had flip flops on AND we definitely had children under 7 years old, so we

enjoyed all the wonderful views and visited the light house from the outside. There

was a little hike down to the light house and back, but the beautiful views payed off big time! The jetty's were amazing and the ocean was beautiful...the weather was overcast as you can see from the pictures, but it didn't matter a bit, we just wore our sweatshirts and enjoyed our time together. Eddie, moms beagle was a little nervous on the car ride up to the light house before we got out to park, as the roads were 2 lane windy roads and he is never real confident when I am driving....it was really funny because there were no more parking spots left close to the trail, so I had to back up to the end of the parking lot, as there was no room to turn around and oh man did he get nervous - he started shaking like crazy and had to get in the front seat to be sure I was doing an okay job of driving...he's a funny dog! I got some awesome shots and the kids all really, really had a good time, and guess what - it wasn't boring at all, Steven and Cody missed out!
