Our Pumpkin Harvest ~2009

Carissa, Bill, and I are all home sick with the swine flu, the little kids, not so much, they've been wanting to harvest their pumpkins and decided today was the day....cause of course they are sooooo bored, and they are tired of taking care of us .... lol

Well they about did us in, but we got 8 pumpkins harvested and set out on the front porch, and I even had enough in me to get a pic of them with their pumpkins, not good pics, but hey, what can we say.... :)

I love the way Brianna has 1 sock, a pink shirt with butterflies, and purple plad pants, then ya take a look at Brandon and he is in a tank top and shorts.....when we came back in from the picture Brandon said whew that wore me out....and went to rest and watch a little tv....boy am I glad it wore them out cause now Bill and I can go crawl back in bed and take a rest.....

Sis found a newsboy hat and scarf that I made that she likes, and will wear. I added the flower button detail and wala....yay! Finally something Carissa will use :)

Brandon's First Day of Pre-school - 2009

Brandon was excited for his first day of school, he was a little nervous as he is starting a new school with a new teacher, he passed developmental pre-school and is now onto ECAAP. We went a couple weeks ago and met his new teacher, and he said he wasn't gonna go there he was going back to teacher Debbies room. I was going to take him this morning, but woke up with Strep throat and a Sinus Infection, which in the end, was better for Brandon anyway, he enjoyed his bus trip, he is so funny, he had a wonderful day and told me that he has a SUPERFAST BUS, cause it only takes a few minutes to get to school and home. His bus ride last year was about an hour...so I can understand how he came to that conclusion. :)

Good People, Good Food, Good Times, GOOD BBQ

Amy, Allison, and I decided to get together this weekend with out families and have a family BBQ. We ate good food, visited, the guys got to know one another, the kids played, and then we pulled out the rock band wii game and rocked out...haha, well they rocked out....I have to practice, I don't know many of the darn songs.....check out the middle pic Amy, Allison, and myself "rocking out".......definitely NOT looking like we are at work....lol

My new craft blog & my new projects

My NEW Craft Blog: I have decided to not only open an ebay store to sell my creations on, but I have also started a blog, where I can post/sell my creations, take requests for objects, and network with others that love crafting.  I will also be posting my original patterns....I am learning to write patterns now and since most everything I do is of my own design, why not share the patterns????

My current projects: Baby Cocoons: So I decided to give a baby snuggly/papoose/cocoon a try.  I did not have a pattern, but knew in my mind how I would like my cocoon to turn out.  I have made 5 in the past 2 days and LOVE them, each one is one of a kind, as I have not put pen to paper and written out a pattern, and I tweak my idea every time.  Below are some of my cocoons:

 

These are the ones I currently have for sell.  I made one for a gal at work too, it's super cute and the hat has polka dots :)  I'll get it posted as well....anyway I just wanted to share!
