So this year before I broke my ankle I decided it would be fun to plant seeds and grow a vegetable garden. It has been my experience that little kids love planting seeds and watching them turn into plants and then eventually turn into something you can eat. I decided Brandon was at the perfect age for this and so we planted seeds. Well then I broke my ankle and although it is healing better than ever expected, needless to say I can't exactly "man" the shovel....and as far as Bill's gardening expertise ~ well let's just say it's non-existent. Carissa and I did some research and decided we would do a small raised bed garden, this would definitely minimize the need for "manning a shovel". Our seeds have thrived and now here it is June 2nd and it is more than a little apparent that we are going to be needing a lot more garden for what we planted then what we provided. Bill thankfully has 5 days off this week and has agreed to help me expand our area! I'm looking forward to all the fresh veggies and strawberries ~ and praying we'll have some decent pumpkins for carving this fall that we grew ourselves!
